Description
Dry and unforgiving, Losanus is the homeworld of the Vongana Illuminate.

While the Losanu climate is harsh to most humanoid life, the Fassyl'lianon spawned and adapted to the rough terrain over tens of millions of years. Eventually rising to intelligence, the insect-like mammalians spread across their entire planet, rising to the top of the food chain. Their eventual ascension to the stars was hasty, and their infamous authoritarianism descended upon nearby worlds.

Eventually, however, their power was rivaled by a more menacing empire: the Amari Imperium. A long, bloody war resulted in the complete vassalization of the Illuminate.

In the early years of the Imperium-Concord War, the Vongana Illuminate was ordered by their overlord to assault the Secessionist Grand Republic. The goal was not conquest, but distraction; pull the Republic fleet out of the war and into another, leaving their space vulnerable to invasion. The tactic was a major success, and the Imperium claimed almost the entirety of Republic space in one swift stroke.

In CY-1089, the Illuminate gained independence from its overlord. Returning to is conquering and slaving ways, new shipyards were constructed and began to field capital ships at frightening rates. These ships were sent into what was once Republic space on invasion operations. One particular operation saw the use of a terraforming device retrofitted as a super-weapon.

Just as before, mankind held its own. The United Federation had developed a new series of warships since the Imperium-Concord War, their magnetic accelerators out-ranging and outgunning the Illuminate plasma casters. Finishing what the Republic began, the Federation invaded and vengefully razed Illuminate worlds, sparking the Vongana Campaigns.
