This is Rodrigues, the Cargo Master of the Transport Crew. Both Rod and Jimmy the Captain have history together... and he is forever indebted to the Captain for keeping him safe and bailing him out of many spots of trouble... esp with the ladies!

It has a lot to do with the texture and also the newer figures are better modelled and in higher defination. Ok lighting and pose do help the render look, but when you start on an excellent figure and texture is easier to reach the desired end product! lol!

The texturing looks amazing, especially the bump mapping. So did you make him from scratch?

I must confess that I did not make the character... but utilised what is available for the character. It is Daz3D character... but we have the freedom to morph them to how we want them to look and feel. So my input is in there in that sense and the lighting chosen... pose and so forth. Thank you.
