Description An entry for 's contest to turn a senshi into a villain. I wasn't sure at the start who I would choose. Usagi? Nah. Ami? Already has an alter ego. Setsuna? Couldn't think of a cool design.

So I went with my second favorite senshi, Michiru. I know it's rather uncreative to call her Lady Poseidon, but I think it's uncreative to make Minako's last name Aino! So THERE! HAH! *crawls into her corner*

I then did something I'd never done before. Because Neptune is associated with the seas, I decided I would use watercolors to fill in the line art. It took me forever to get the right colors mixed for her dress and stuff, and even then, my scanner destroys the colors

It wasn't a totally failed experiment though. The watercolors do give the sense of being unstable, like you're not 100% you can believe everything you see. If Michiru was ever a villain, I feel like that's how she would operate.

Damn it, now I feel like I need to write a fanfic x.x; Blast!

I think it turned about beautifully.

Wow! I really love the effect of the watercolors (er.. affects? gwah, I'm doing Japanese, excuse my Engrish).

I've recently gotten back into the blasted Sera Myu (and thus, made my friend find enjoyment in the original BSSM in Japanese xD)... And noticed that Sailor Mercury is the only senshi to have an evil incarnation in EVERY version of the series... Except for maybe the video games (and I'm not sure if a Galaxia-controlled!Mercury appeared in the anime, but I do recall one episode where she was manipulated to attack the other senshi). Is this done because she's the most popular in Japan?

Effect. You're right Effect = noun, affect = verb (unless you're saying it was "affected," in which case it's an adverb).

Haha, I know what you mean. Every time I escape, I always come crawling back to the myu. I recently downloaded Mistress Labyrinth...I haven't watched it yet, but I'm totally going to. Just don't tell any of my college friends. I've kept it a secret thus far xD;

And...as for Ami...I don't think she turns evil the video games, unless you count the Sega Saturn one, because all the senshi fight each other. But that's like saying everyone in Tekken is evil because they fight each other. But I think part of it is the appeal of the "good girl gone bad" thing. She's the most sweet and innocent and demure and dorky, so people fantasize about what she'd be like if suddenly she became the complete opposite. Something like that. Yeah.

YAY! Right word <3

Hahaha, really? I've been told that I'm "more otaku" than most people a friend of mine knows xD (he of course, has not seen my collection of manga on my harddrive, hahaha). Ah, you've downloaded them? I wanna do that! I've DLed all the CDs and put them on my iTouch (er, not at the moment, though, since I switched out a playlist... Although there are quite a few Myu songs there).
Aww, don't want your classmates to know? Why not?

Hahaha, true. Ami and Setsuna are most definitely my favorite still (followed by Hotaru, Seiya, and now Prince Diamond thanks to the Myu hahaha), but I see the appeal. I tend to read a lot of fics like that, too. Ami's "going bad" song in the Myu is just so awesome though xD I wish Chieco Kawabe could have sang it (her Ami was generally bad ass without going evil so...)

Well, obviously Hotaru and Michiru are my favorites, but beyond them I'm pretty impartial...I do like all of the season three villains though. I think they were the most varied. Pity the last three witches each only got a single episode T_T

I try not to let my not-super-close friends onto my trail, because I don't want to suddenly be super alienated xD; Also, I don't want NihonGO! to try and pull me in to their awful karaoke nights and evenings spent watching bad anime in English in the common rooms. I'd rather watch stuff I like in the comfort of my own room.

Also, none of my friends enjoy reading subtitles. And not just in anime (haven't even gone that far yet). Like, they don't even want to watch these AWESOME Oscar-nominated foreign films because, God forbid, they have to READ the subtitles. Blech.

NihonGO!... Seriously? Hahaha, we're Newtype. I haven't gone to any karaoke nights 'cause I always had class or I was tutoring middle schoolers, lulz.

Gwah, seriously? In AP Gov, we were having fights over subtiles or no with Persepolis, lol. I mean, a lot of us in Japanese/anime club watch stuff dubbed sometimes so we can do other stuff at the same time - we don't have to pay too much attention if it's just background noise, yanno?

Yeah. Although, when I watch anime, it's like...an event. So I don't really do anything else. I just sit and watch. Hence, I use subtitles pretty much all the time.

Ah, I see.

I'm always doing homework, so it's either some sort of movie, a show, or music, which can be a hodgepodge.

I know at some point, my roommate and I are gonna stop and watch Shounen Onmyoji together, cause I won it in an auction.
