Wow, what a lovely piece~ I thought it was a girl at first too but hey, these japanese men will never stop fooling us ^^ The colours are lovely, and the eyes, the eyes! It's almost calming to look at it. Keep up the great works!!!

Tamasaburo has a fantastic face, without make up he doesn't look all that femme, but has a certain softness about him, in make up he has a fantastic image, he creates, very regal and something else apart from any specific gender, just something completely and abstractly beautiful.

Hmm... you've done other artworks of him, haven't you? I had a bit of trouble finding decent photos of him to see what he really looks like. But, you really express that softness and the 'regal' air about him that you spoke of in your art.

I wanna do the back bend pose tho, it is quite enticing~ Also bought one of his dvds, and wahhh ...he is such an inspiring, charming person.
Onnagata image is really stunning thing to behold, such an interesting mix of what one calls features of a woman, some lil cut outs of femininity, like a lil girl imitating her mother, not always really knowing why her mom doing this or that^^ <3

Aw, that's such a perfect description of him and his feminity- I would never have thought of it that way, looking at his photos. He seems... otherwordly. Like he stepped in directly from his own faraway age or something. And what I like about him is that he doesn't look pompous or arrogant with all that luxury and strict poses~ I wouldn't have thought of him as a little girl playing with her mother's lipstick =3

Wow! I saw that back bend move in a Youtube video... oh my gosh! You know, you are totally responsable for this sudden interest in onnagata on my part. Ah, I feel like a noob- when you first said 'onnagata' I thought you meant that as his name =_= I actually went on wikipedia to see what it was all about, and now I know all the Kabuki history and everything

what a simple, pure beauty she has.. much like the way you portrayed her. the lack of definate lines gives this an over all softer appeal, and draws the eyes immediatly to those which seem to have straight lines, such as her eyes and her lips. I love how you gave her eyes a sheen... Shes absolutely breath taking

hahahah, lol, funny how people always say that onnagata is believable till one moment, that keeps you form believing, look Tamasaburo managed o convince you.
i don't draw girls by definition... ok i did some 2 times in these 5 years, but yeah...
