SOOOO... This is why I don't take commissions..
This was made for , one of the winners of my "Mythical Creatures" contest... 5 months ago 
She requested a selkie! Honestly, I had no idea what a selkie was until she explained it to me and sent me a few reference photos. Thank you so much for your patience after all this time; I really hope you like it! I don't know why I was having issues on this project, but I had to scrap it once and start over because I wasn't happy with how it was turning out. I guess I'm not too experienced making non-animated things! Anyway, nose and lining around the eyes were needle felted. I also played around with a new shading technique to get some of the body markings. Not sure if you guys can tell since I wanted to keep it kind of subtle. Anyway, happy weekend everyone!

It's the shading which makes it so amazing; without it the seal would have look a little to ordinary. And you a achieved the seal shape so well too. Great work!

Like water proof eye-shadow,eyeliner, or a juxtaposition of everything? Did you use this same technique for the shadow on Sora's forehead? Sorry for the many questions! Every time you post a new project, it seems you introduce a new concept, or technique, that is wonderful for small, or large details!

oooh I see! Well, the results were awesome! I love the gradient of dark to light on Sora's face, it looks like a convincing shadow!
