Description

I've been working on and off on the other Eeveelutions.  Finally finished up another one  The leafy-looking ears and tail were the most challenging parts to figure out, but I'm pretty happy with what I decided to go with.  I know the head fur could look more leaf-like too, but I ended up just brushing out yarn for a more furry effect.

Eyes are needle felted and a simple tutorial can be found here-->

Let me know if you catch any mistakes!  Happy crocheting!

I noticed that for the body and the tail you stop at around 24 and 20 stitches and fasten off. Do you then stitche the tail around the hole in the body or close the body hole before stitching the tail on? Thanks

I really like this. And though you put in a Yarn Tail tutorial, I don't quite understand it. How do you attach it to the main body, once it's complete? Is there any chance you could make your own tutorial for it?

Inuchan1986 [2014-08-14 11:09:59 +0000 UTC]

hello, I was creating this amigurumi (cute!) but I think there is a mistake in ears at point 6 -7. Could you check?

If I do a round of increases in step 6 (12SC) at step 7 ° then I can not do 6 + 1 because it lacks a mesh (6 +1 = 7Sc for round)
how should I do?
I hope I explained> <

edit:
and step 15...

15.  Sc 2 (2sc all the way round (increase) or more 2sc something else? XD)

Sorry for the late reply!  I've been a bit busy.  Thank you for the catch!  Round 7 should be: [Sc 2, inc] around to make 16.  Step 15 is exactly that, single crochet 2 stitches so that when you flatten the ear, the FO point should be at the edge of the ear.

MVRysis [2014-07-03 21:23:26 +0000 UTC]

hey there   i just wanna check what you mean with the part about the ears being double-layered and flattened. To my understanding you have crocheted the ear pattern 4 times in total? 2 per ear and stitched it together?  yeeees.....? nooooo.....? but other than that your pattern is amazing as the others   made a blastoise out of your squirtle one, will link to you as soon as i feel like taking pictures of it and my chocobo is (finallllllllllyyyyy - after spending eons on it) almost done, just the eyes and i'll link that too. thank you so much!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

aphid777 In reply to MVRysis [2014-07-04 19:02:19 +0000 UTC]

Oh no, you only need to crochet 2 ears.  You work in rounds for each ear rather than rows.  Don't stuff the ears, just flatten them; that's what I mean by double-layered because they are are two layers when you flatten them  Sorry if it's confusing  Ahhh you made a Blastoise?  Can't wait to see it!  I'm starting on one right now, myself  And a chocobo too?  You've been busy!

Leafeon is my favorite eeveelution but I prefer your other Amigurumi. The fur on the head is really weird like a punk teenager or something like that... More leaf-like would have been so much better

aphid777 In reply to Caterpillor [2014-05-19 04:07:21 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I was a little iffy on the head part.  I'm not that familiar with many of the newer Pokemon (anything after Gen II) so my interpretation was probably off  I was also getting a little lazy after figuring out the other leaf pieces and didn't feel like crocheting yet another one.. haha

Though i might have to change your pattern. I dont know how to crocheting, i only know how to knit. so i might have to be creative and try and make your style of baby Leafeon in a knitted patter. Of course when i am done i will say that i was inspired by your amazing handy work with crocheting.

Unless if you have an extra Baby Leafeon and are thinking of selling it. i would be interested.
Right now i dont have much money on me, but i do have things I'm trying to sell and get rid off. if you are interested we can do a trade for something you like.

Haha sorry, I probably won't be making another one since I generally don't like to repeat what I've already made   I'd love to see your shot at a knitted Leafeon in the same style though!  A couple people who knit but don't crochet have mentioned trying to make a knitted version, but I have yet to see it!
