Description And that difference is telling the person how they can IMPROVE what they did poorly/wrong.

Because I'm seeing a lot of critiques where the person just says "The perspective is off on the building" "The legs are bending in an odd way" "Thats not how a cat's face looks"

....

THAT DOESN'T HELP. Knowing what you did wrong, its a good thing to know, but if you don't know what to DO about said error, then all it does is lower your self esteem or make you feel like you just can't do it right!

Tell them how they can improve it or fix it!

Don't just say "Wolf legs don't bend that way", say "Wolf legs don't bend that way, you can see how they work by watching a video of one hunting".

Don't say "A lion's jaws don't open that wide", say "If you look at a lion dragging an antelope, you can see how the jaw sets on the lion's skull".

A simple encouragement towards a learning experience can work WONDERS. And its the difference between a good critique, and just telling someone they're doin' it wrong. Which makes you a dick.

I've had this idea for awhile and then when I get the layout down, CS5 decides to slit its wrists and die. Which means I had to struggle with my ancient PSE that doesn't let me change the frame-rate. So if anything moves too slow/fast, let me know so I can mess with it.

I agree with you SO MUCH! I've read some "Critiques" where the person who wrote it went on and on about the flaws but not how to improve them. It must have annoyed the artist alot.
