I saw some others doing it so might as well upload mine. I made this 1st of February using [link] (the updated version). IT RANDOMLY GOES DOWN SO BE PATIENT, use the older version [link] if you're not.

It seems like there isn't enough information for some interesting conversations so I'm going to list the reasons why my top 5 characters are there. (I might edit in more if I have the time).

1: Yukari/Maribel
I've always liked Yukari, mastermind and protector of Gensokyo. Then this came along: [link] and now Maribel is tied for first place. Yukari plays a LARGE part in my fanfic so I have her personality mostly figured out: calm, sharp, plotting, secretive, and subtle but in the inside is extremely protective, looks out for others, and empathetic.

2: Patchouli
The smart book reader who's powerful but frail at the same time. If it weren't for her asthma... Her canon personality fits her the best. I like smart magicians, especially when they have ALL THE ELEMENTS under their control. ROYAL FLARE!!!!

3: Momiji
Tonari no Mo-miji Mo-mi-JI~! OK! (you get some cake if you get the reference). 1: Sword and shield. She's the type of person (wolf?) who jumps straight into things, and then fumbles up, leading to Aya having to help her (and her being embarrassed in the process). In my fanfic she eventually develops into a strategist who carefully thinks actions through in order to ensure the well being of her troops, and she gets amazing with her sword skills.

4: Nitori
Nitori, the engineering genius in Gensokyo. Famous for creating wacky new tools and machinery. I see her as the tomboy mechanic, always wanting to build something that helps make life easier; or cool new magitek laser guns and lightsabers. I love technology in general so this was a no-brainer.

5: Youmu
The shy, socially awkward, duel wielding katana girl who has anger management issues that protects and serves Yuyuko. She is very clumsy and falls prey to Yuyuko's jokes. She trains hard so that one day she might go out to find her missing mentor and uncle. I like her serious, easy to upset and infuriate personality that goes very well with Yuyuko's carefree and whimsy personality, which is why these two are such a great pair.

I know this was long and contained headcanon, but hopefully this will lead to others posting why they like their characters. For me it's very interesting to see other's opinions on their own favorite characters.
