Description IF YOU DON'T READ THE ARTIST'S DESCRIPTION, READ THIS PART - THIS IS A YEAR OLD! My quality hasn't nosedived XD 

Okay so the long and short of it is, I feel really guilty about not posting anything in what feels like years haha so here, have a thing. This is OLD. I drew this in December 2015. And it isn't even finished. But there was something I liked about it enough to make me keep it, and I haven't posted anything in ages, so I added some random shadows and put it up cause why not.
It's good to see how far I've come, comparing this to my newer work. I should post this with a comparison honestly but I don't really have anything similar to this. 

For those of you who know anything about my novel Greyheart, this is its protagonist, Sedra. She's just been through a lot.
I don't know when my newer art will be ready to post, hopefully not too long away >.<

Haha nah I'll probably leave it as is - I'm not very good at finishing old works, it never looks right. I prefer starting afresh Thank you though!

 Then, may I ask if you might have a print from this painting, for sale on dA?  Either way, I like the painting.  The other one that I fav'v..she had green skin and was 'feisty'..maybe you might consider doing a few more like her..different combinations of eye-color, hair and skin?  It could be a series of inter-galactic proportions!  Have a great week-end..mark

Hi Ari!
I work on a budget, like most people, but I definitely would like a print of this  Let me know about the fee, ok And, how much for shipping.  Maybe sounds silly, but would taking photos of the area where you live, or photos of parts of Australia be taken as a commission?  I think about doing poetry, perhaps as a collaboration,to produce an art-piece!?But, Ive never done this b4.  Any suggestions?  I will check out your page and find the work Im talking about and then note you ok?  But, if you cant, that's ok.  Have a terrific week-end.  Oops..Arent you starting to 'slip into Fall?'

I'm honestly not sure XD I made it available as a print though so dA should be able to take care of that all I hope The link should be on the right of this deviation page. 
The only thing is, I think dA only has a couple of print sizes available and it crops out half the picture :/ 
And haha well this may sound strange but I don't actually own a camera, and my phone takes terrible photos, so I'm afraid I can't. Sorry!

Ok, the works I just looked @ said "WOW" to me.  Yes, please keep 'Sedra" like she is..she looks great!  Tell me about your book, Greyheart..you could really think of this as a future print to be sold, Id buy one..

You are hard on on yourself, I agree with others this is very good.

Then again we all should look at our old work with a slight cringe, if we are not hard on ourselves 

we are not trying hard enough to grow.

When you put it like that, I started to feel a little guilty too for not submitting any works anymore (just a teeny meanie guilt, no worries)   but honestly I like this, it does look different to your new works but your style is still recognizable. She really do look like she been through a lot, it will be interesting to see your old works if you want to put it up (finger cross), even if it's not for comparison we still get to see how you paint through your eye back then.

It's not that bad of a guilty feeling, sort of a reminder that I haven't put up much recently, maybe not for a long time to come anyway. Gosh, maybe I'm addicted to your work

what tools did you create this with?
Do you use a stylus for digital art?

Thank you haha It's no problem at all haha! I draw with a 13HD Wacom Cintiq, and this particular drawing was done with Photoshop Elements 12 (though I use Photoshop CS6 now). Yes I do use a stylus ^^

Good to know. I was looking at getting a wacom, years ago but its been so long and now there are so many different ones on the market that I don't even know which way to go. Thanks for the info. I am considering getting a design tablet because mouse pad on laptop is brutal.
