Description
So I am really hyped about Detective Pikachu so I really wanted to draw something Pokemon related. ^^ I just so happen to have a Pokemon OC, Char-Lee, that's been needing some love. For anyone new to my page, Char-Lee is a life-sized replica of a Charmeleon that I made to carry around in a backpack when I cosplay as a Pokemon trainer at conventions. (fav.me/d8qvg84 )

I think he turned out great but he also gave me a couple of things to look into further and learn from. For example, this is the first picture that I have done like this that has a major secondary light-source. This is also the first time drawing flames in this style so that took a lot of trial and error. In addition to all of that this is the first biological creature that I've drawn like this which made me question a lot of the highlighting locations

I don't know if Char-Lee is the start of a new series like the Iron Giant was because I certainly don't intend on doing portraits of all the Pokemon and Digimon, but that doesn't mean I won't do select favorites and OCs in the future.
