It's really a shame they didn't use this design for the Enterprise, it's superb.

If I remember correctly, this was Matt Jefferies original design for the Enterprise. Also, I beleive they had images of this in Both "The Next Generation" and "The Motion Picture". I could be wrong!

I knew of TMP but I haven't heard of it being seen in TNG. Β NOt to say that it wasn't, I just suffer from C.R.S.

If I recall, it was a picture of it in the "Ready Room" but can't remember off hand and I don't have any "TNG" episodes to double check
