I am profoundly sorry! I did a cut and paste on so many, I typed this one and as the NASA boys say, "screwed the pooch!" There is some flap about mandun claiming models as his, but i do not believe this is one of them! I have edited the selection, and offer my apologies.

I suspected faulty memory, because I went through mandum's models, and didn't find the X-15, or X-15A-2.

If you examine my SketchUp model, you'll see one of the "tells" that I incorporated (this is only one of them.) Here's what to look for: X-15 "BEAST"

I keep meaning to do a photo-realistic render of my X-15-1 & X-15A-2 models, but have been distracted by other "baubles."

Your render just might inspire me to get to work on it!

I did notice the "BEWARE THE BEAST" in red letters on a field of gray near the front.
