Personality

Growing up as an orphan along with his older sister, Tokeo was quite the opposed, displaying absolutely no fear to express himself no matter how insane that seemed. And the troubled protest him and Leoan found themselves unfortunately in, gave Tokeo a bit major mind sweep, as he felt it would be better to not dwell on something that seemed out of his control. Even during the time General Ironwood provided individual education and needed to hide his faunus feature, whenever he overheard some other students talking ill about the faunus for no reason, he had to muster all the self-control so he wouldn't lunge at them. Eventually he learned how to pay nevermind to the insults.

Even after applying at Beacon, he kept this kind of unshakable and occasionally sassy personality as a sort of masquerade to not get ticked off by the insults (mostly –> minus the time he and Razor threatened Cardin to stop pulling on Velvet's ear) and remains clear-minded no matter the situation. Saturn himself said, that Tokeo has the most stamina on the team, which made even more beneficial during the Tournament of the Vytal Festival.

Others would often think that Tokeo's nonchalant personality would make him become a bit too careless. But Tokeo has proven many times over, that he's able to maintain his composure no matter how quippy he ends up sounding.

After the Fall of Beacon, he started to doubt that he tried to remain a bit uncaring about others opinions, when he insisted that he knows what he's doing when going up against the possessed Atlisian Paladin (which ended up giving him three scars across his right eye by an Ursa when he wasn't paying attention). As a result, he ended up becoming greatly self conscious and decided to stand aside for a little while until he could come back in terms with his usual self. And during the counter against the attack on Haven, he managed even better in battle against Adam and the rest of rouge White Fang as he acted as a proper team player. After reuniting with team SLAT, he finally expressed everything he ever thought about what ever happened, including their exploits over time at Beacon.

Time-skip

The Fall of Beacon proved to be a way too sudden change of events for Tokeo and after a literal life scarring experience with an Ursa, he ended up being left in so many traumatic thoughts, since he held back his emotions in order to not get caught up in any unnecessary squabbles. So once both him and Leoan returned along with Blake and Sun to Menagerie, he mostly tried to find way to reconcile his old ways of thinking. Not even Sun could get to him for some of their old games.

During Volume 5, Tokeo was still spiraling down the self-pitty, which Leoan tried to inform him quite agitated that he will get nowhere like this. So during the remaining time in Menagerie, he made sure that they would spend time as siblings. That was the proper mental healing for Tokeo. And after engaging the rouge White Fang to prevent the attack on Haven, he found a new way of accomplishing feats in order to maintain proper mindset. And the reunion with the rest of team SLAT made him feel like he didn't need anything else in life.

During Volume 6, Tokeo left along with Leoan and Ilia to aid the Belladonna's in a brand new move for the old White Fang with Ghira as leader once again.
