I am gonna be honest, it took me a while to get what yo uwere going for but DAYUM you are right! I always liked 02's design to begin with so I guess I was subconciously inspired by that one when creating this race.

OoOoOoo! I really like this! Very interesting and I adore their design. Is it wrong to think that these one-eyed flying things are cute? >w< I like how you've managed to get different expressions down for them too...probably not all that easy when you've only got one eye to work with!

Sweet tissues of cheese, I absolutely love the wings! I also really like the belief of them being former seeds of the Mother Tree (the multiple rings in their eye gave me the thought of the rings in a tree trunk).
That finger-biting looks really painful o__o;; but the babies are adorable~
Also, kawaii desu Maephilis. Sweet cheddar.
