Now THIS is why I wanted to move on from Poser. Going to Blender has given me more flexibility in where I wanted my characters to go. Back in 2005, I simply did not have the skills necessary to do what I wanted with Rowan. Maybe I just have more time now than I did back then—or perhaps more patience. Giving Rowan wolf-ears has turned out to be a fun way to play around with expressions and (more) facial rigging. Also, fur simulation in Blender is miles above Poser's. Another added benefit is that it gets me away from the Rumiko Takahashi-inspired yokai appearance he had back in '05. Sorry-not-sorry, but I was an Inuyasha fan-girl (well, sort of) back in the day. Younger me was stupid, just sayin'

I'm still debating the benefits of moving to Rigify—I think I could move to Rigify now but I want to learn more about rigging and custom controls in Blender before I do. It could also be that Rigify might not fit my needs.
