Description

Another scene test from Blender, using Comic Life 3 to put the page together. I'm still not sold on purchasing Comic Life 3—especially when I already have Adobe Illustrator—but it does make putting a comic page together easier.

I used the Enclosed Side Garden set by Predatron from Daz3d, namely for speed because it closely matches the concept I have in my head for Syleth's backyard—which is still being worked on. About the only thing from the Enclosed Side Garden set that I replaced was the tree—which was replaced with a preset from a Blender library called Treezy because I wasn't particularly happy with the texture quality of the original tree.

This scene is supposed to be part of the Hawk & Wolf rewrite, replacing the "bridge scene" part of the epilogue in the original short-story. The dialog is mostly unchanged, though.

I also caught some shit from my boyfriend about Rowan's redesign: "You went full-on puppy with him, didn't you?" Me: "Well yeah, he is a werewolf."

And honestly, I like this look better than the Sesshoumaru-inspired appearance he had originally.

Of course, once they were old enough, money — and time — became a factor, and something always seemed to get in the way. The creaking of the stairs leading to the attic alerted him. He turned in time to see Rowan’s head appear above t
