Description
This is an illustration I made for PRISM international that will be featured in their 2009 Spring issue. They are a literary magazine, and are currently looking for written submissions for this coming issue. The theme is visual arts. Scroll through the front page of their website for more info.I hope every American out there who could got their vote on this 4th! Now let's keep our nose to the grindstone and take out that ugly Prop 8 and it's like.

Agreed! I am certain things will be righted, and it will be a part of our intolerant and ill-informed past. A good friend of mine put it nicely when she said "we'll look back at it with shame as a country someday. I just hope it's sooner rather than later."

Hopefully... Unfortunately, there will always be idiots who support things like Prop. 8 in existance, as i've just been reminded of forcefully. (I'm pretty furious right now.)

Great illustration, I can relate to this, I have been swarmed by seagulls (no owls though) whilst biking and wearing collage.
Ha ha ha, being generally socially liberal, and fiscally conservative, I think that all of the propositions came out almost the opposite of how I wanted them. Spend lots of government money, and limit people's rights... thanks a lot California.

You've been chased by birds cause of how you smell? Luckily it hasn't happened to me... I must stink. I know the big crows around here have been thinking about it tho. haha
For really real. What is it with people sticking their noses in other peoples rights anyways? Worry about yourself and your diminishing bankroll or something. live your own life! turds. the whole lot. I'm trying to make light.. but it really gets me down.

People can't help it. Eventually they come to, but it can take so bloody long! Actually, in terms of voters(as opposed to judges)this prop 8 was supported less than the original measure to permit gay marriage was defeated by. So, it is fortunately just a postponement of the inevitable. It's still horrible for people that want to get married and feel accepted right now. Really, all this nonsense over not wanting to explain something to your kids...
