Description The Panzer IV variant used by the Syrian Army in the 1960s. I wanted this panzer IV drawing to be unique to the other drawings of the original german panzer IVs. These tanks saw service in the border skirmishes of the mid 1960s and the 1967 Six days war. Many of the wreckages of these tanks can still be found in the Golan Heights today, a few vehicles survive and can be found in the IDF's armor museum.Β

Especially after the Israelis started fitting French 105 mm guns to their Sherman's to create the Super Sherman.Β  Even the T-54 and T-55 had a hard time against them.

They lost badly. Like 8-9 Syrian tanks to a single from Israel.

Ah yes I forgot about the stugs! I believe the syrians also got some Jagpanzers and old nashorns too.Β  I've never been to Israel, but the valley of tears and the armor museum is definitely something id check out

yeah, the armor museum is great, but a lot of tanks just got rust there with poor maintenance due to lack of budget :\

Damn, I hate that, sad that such history is undervalued .Here in the US we just had our best tank museum, the Aberdeen tank museum, relocated indoors to fort lee virginia for restoration. Aberdeen was great, but them leaving the tanks out exposed to the elements for years just wasnt a good idea.

you can find old tanks for sale, but prepare to spend atleast 100,000$. As far as tank museums, Bovington by far has the best care and show model. They still keep Tiger 131 in working condition after darn near 75 years
