Description I haven't posted a farm scene in some time... So here's one for Cindy out in Ohio...

Edit: Rotated the image a bit to straighten out the horizon line... So the barn doesn't look like it was built with a sloping roofline.

I thought you'd like this...

I have two pieces of software that I use every day ... One is Google Picasa, the other Paint.Net. Both are freeware.

I've learned not to use Picasa to straighten photos, but Paint.Net works great. Picasa is okay but as you rotate the image slightly, it enlarges the image to fit the trimmed edges so that no size is lost.

What IS lost is sharpness. In using Paint.Net I have to go back and trim off the edges where it was rotated, but in the end it's worth it... as there is no degradation of quality in doing so.

Yep. I also can't view as many deviations on one page when browsing through the gallery. net effect is a third of the page is ad, then you have to go to the next page and do it all again.

Actually, the day this was taken (about a month ago) there were afternoon thunderstorms moving through. The day was strange.. Blue skies, then storm clouds, a quick storm, then blue skies again, and then more storms... this was the tail end of one of the storms that came through the area. Within a little while the skies were blue again.

Sometimes this type of weather can spawn tornadoes but not very often, here.
