Season 1 - Episode 1

This pilot is completely different from your standard tv series starting point, knowing that the XWP show exists, my idea is that I can skip introductions or epic backstories and simply launch from the "you know how things are usually ? well look at this alternate reality where everything is rearranged" hence the title as if on the other side of the mirror is the regular XWP show. So in this episode we see a usual ""rescue the village/kill the evil warlord"" adventure, but with the alternate Gabrielle and Xena working their new chemistry and reversed roles.

X: -How come we don't have horses again ?

G: -We tried that, didn't work, I'm too heavy. The last one broke his legs and it was... ugh, don't remind me about it.

X: -Yeah but I could ride.

G: -Uh... I'd rather you didn't.

X: -Why not ?

G: -Well for starters, it would look ridiculous, I'm the all mighty barbarian princess, and you, are my sidekick. You can't have a horse if I don't have one.

X: -That's the most selfish thing I've ever heard.

G: -I'm not done yet; it would also make it difficult for me to protect you. If you go running around on your own, I may not be there when you need me. So you see, I'm actually caring for you by not letting you ride a horse.

X: -You are so mean, you really don't want me to have a horse !

G: -Look, if we find a horse that's strong enough to take me, you can ride with me, ok ?

X: -Wouldn't that be asking for too much of the horse ? taking your elephant weight, plus mine ?

G: -It's not fat ! it's muscle ! and don't call me an elephant !

X: -Ok ok, don't be so touchy, geez...

G: -I'm not touchy. And yes, the horse would have to take both of us, so it will have to be some really awesome horse.

X: -So we are not riding then ?

G: -Nope.

Notes: The episode continues with Gabs and Xena strolling down the forest, and finding a village that's being attacked by some warlord. So they proceed to smash him into pulp and collect the loot !
