Description
Young Findekáno and Írissë in Valinor! I’ve never drawn Fingolfin’s children together, and since I’ve recently started thinking about Fingon and his character, I thought it’d be nice to interpret his relationship with his siblings.
While drawing this, I listened to “Miri it is while sumer ilast ,” a 13th century Middle English song. The melody inspired this painting’s composition; I had an image of Írissë dancing next to Findekáno, or half-dancing at least XDD But then it turned into of Írissë reaching out, either for Findekáno’s hand or something else, so I stuck to that instead. Then again, she doesn’t seem to be looking at his hand ... Maybe you guys have some ideas? XDD
I was also kinda sad that she had to block Findekáno’s braids, so here's a closeup of his hair I’ve been developing a few ideas for his ribbon patterns on the back; I just have yet to draw them!
