Description

Guess who won a new horse? It's Zinno!

Unfortunately Whaam doesn't strike me as a great jumper, so dressage it is.

Also I need to make a reference for him. That will be the first thing I do with my new drawing tablet, just gotta wait till my birthday .....

Story:

It was a pretty miserable day. The sky was grey and the air humid, threatening to break out into a thunderstorm. But that had been the case for the last two days and yet no raindrops came. The weather had the bonus, that nobody wanted to work because the slightest strenuous movement meant, that you got soaked in sweat. But in a stable, there is always work to be done and Angel had quietly accepted her fate of being one sweaty greaseball today. If it would just rain, please! But then they'd have to look out for the small river and hastily get all the horses inside and ...
*Neigh!* *Crash* "Not again!" That was Zinno. He was out in one of the dirt paddocks together with his new horse Whaam. That one had just done his name proud and crashed through the little jump Zinno had built. "Well, that was about as elegant as Rafael doing ballet." Zinno gave her a grumpy look before he went to right the jump. Whaam on the other hand came over to her, possibly in hopes of a treat. Angel had to disappoint him and instead gave him a loving pat on the neck. Done with his building Zinno sends Whaam running again. He had him at liberty wanting to get to know him a bit and see how he moves. With more of an audience, the stallion decided to show off more. He started with some happy bucks and then went over into a lovely trot. "Pretty. I think if you train with him he'll have a wonderful Piaffe." the blond commented, which only made Zinno groan and bury his head in his hands. "Nat said the same thing." "Then maybe listen to her?" Nat was usually always right when it came to horses. "But I don't wanna do dressage!" Now he sounded slightly like a disobedient five-year-old.
Apparently, to prove everyone wrong Zinno left Angel sitting on the fence and started ushering Whaam more towards the jump. And the buckskin did pick up a bit of speed, but when every other horse would prepare for lift-off, Whaam .... just put in the breaks. At least he didn't crash through the jump this time. "You know what? I think my driving instructor would have been proud of that all-out braking. that always was my favorite maneuver." "Yeah, you wanna take him then? I think your body might be more aerodynamic than mine. Makes for a better flight." "Ha! There's the Zinno I know, was worried about you for a sec."
Sadly he got serious again very quickly. "But honestly. I don't think I'm gonna be very good at dressage. I already hate the few lessons you guys make me take." "Well, that might be because Balou isn't exactly a model dressage horse." Zinno snorted in amusement. Balou didn't like doing work and usually got bored halfway during the dressage training. At least he got somewhat motivated for jumping.
But Angel took pity on poor Zinno who had gone pale at the thought of facing dressage training on his own. "You know, I think a bit more dressage training could do wonders for Abyss and Rio could also use it. Uwah!" Zinno had launched himself at her and was now lifting her off her feet to hug her. "Oh, thank you! I hate suffering alone."  Just then there was a flash in the sky and thunder rolled. Whaam made a great jump and skittered around the paddock. "Oh, now you jump?" grumbled the man and went off to fetch his halter and rope. Angel now very worried started to make a plan. "Get him inside and then come back and help me get the other horses." She turned to run to the other paddocks, shouting orders all the way there. "Nat, take care of the Shetties! Tarek with me, Zinno move it!"
