"There's someone down there," Cynthia realized, "a trainer, maybe?"

Though this area was remote, it wasn't out of the question that someone could be wandering around out here. Rare Pokemon could be hidden in places like this, after all. It was hard to tell from so high up, but they looked like they were normal size.

"Let's go and see them," Cynthia said, "they will be able to help us."

Dawn nodded, and gave Empoleon the command to descend the mountain.

The forest was dense, making it difficult to find the person. Many huge Pokemon roamed about, causing Cynthia to duck in closer to Empoleon's horn. She was very glad to have a big Pokemon on her side, even if she would rather it was Garchomp.

Eventually, the two tiny trainers caught sight of their potential friend. A Pokemon trainer herself, a bird keeper from the looks of her. Empoleon waddled after her, slowly catching up to the woman. It seemed inevitable that they would meet her eventually. Surely she would help, after Cynthia endured the rather embarassing task of explaining how she had come to be so small.

But the shrunken champion had a bad feeling. Something about the way the woman was moving seemed a bit off. The way she scoured the ground, as if searching every inch of the grass. Was she looking for Pokemon? Or something else? Cynthia didn't like the look of the cage she held either, a bit small for any bird Pokemon she knew.

Dawn seemed a bit apprehensive as well, but Empoleon continued walking. Cynthia wondered if she should say something...
