I've been anxious to upload this ever since I painted it, but I haven't had easy access to a good computer in a long time. But hurrah! I have one now ^_^

So this was a Christmas present for a friend of mine, I think I did it in about a day. He's a big Sleeping Beauty fan like me, so it seemed appropriate to make him this. When I was looking for reference pictures for this castle I realized that there's almost no fan artwork of it, OR good images of it o.O

That was interesting, but once I found some good reference I had a fun time figuring out all the sharp angles on Maleficent's castle, and painting with all those greens. Oh! And the mist, that was my favorite part, got to use my fan brush for a change ^-^ The only trouble I had was cropping the image, most of Sleeping Beauty is in this beautiful widescreen length, but my canvas wasn't wide enough to really accommodate that, so dealing with that was tricky. But I think it works okay doesn't it?
