Gray Fox/Null/Frank Jaeger/Cyborg NinjaThe pose was pretty weak but useable so I surrounded it with filler !
I must say it is difficult to produce something interesting with him in particular post Yoji Shinkawas' incredible illustrations

the kanji look RAD, as does the MGS logo! its really impressive how you can recreate things like that so well
the bold outline works really well to seperate good ol' gray fox from the background, great work once again man!!

That pose doesnt seem too stable... maybe you should move the left leg a little to the left. Waist up, I love it.

Well, anatomically it looks more or less fine to me I just think it's a pretty dull picture.

It's still very interesting! I love that you were able to make the character stand out despite the fact that you made all the colors so similar, usually in a picture like this, everything will seem to blend together, but you pulled it off really well!

That sword is a bit of a mystery you know;
in the game it appears to be a regular steel katana yet it has that laser beam edge to it. In the MGS artbook there's sketches of it attached to some kind of battery pack on his belt. Perhaps it's simply energised using his body as a conduit, much like Raiden seemed to use electricity transferred through himself ...

Was it was th batterypack design concept art in the art book?
because it might have changed and kept some aspects of it in the final but knowing kojima we'll probably never hear a straight answer about it

Yes it was from the first MGS artbook which as you know contains all sort of concept sketches. What's the difference in the 1.5 edition ?! I've always wanted to know ... guess I'll have to buy it !
Thanks man, yes you should do so, I am too; replaying from MGS along the series to MGS4(even some portable Op's on the side), hopefully Rising and Peace Walker will be out by the time we're done eh !
