This quick sketch was inspired and drawn when listening to ----->this song . It's an older sketch ( 2010 ) so I'm definitely not thrilled with the anatomy, but I've been wanting to try a 'watercolor' approach in Photoshop for a particular picture, and I needed test subjects XD
I kind of like the melancholy feel the texture and 'watercolor' approach gives it.

I like it. I dunno the song, but I like it. Did any kind of a story pop into your head working on this, or was it just the song was there and this came purely out of that, or did you have an idea for what might be the reason behind it within the context of the picture itself?

I already had the story/background to these two characters figured out before I drew this image. Β I just happened to be listening to this song one day in my car and it totally made my mind drift towards this scene in my fanfic with it's melancholy sound and lyrics. Β A lot of times when I listen to music it sets a certain mood for me or puts an image in my head inspiring enough to draw. Β What happened to Carver's sister is pivotal to his own character and backstory, so I wanted to depict an emotional, inspired image. Β Sometimes certain music helps me find just the right feeling.

Sounds like an interesting fic. Is it anything I already might have read back in the day but just never got to this point in terms of being put up on the web, or is this scene from something new you're working on?

No, it's nothing I uploaded back in the day. Β Most of my BMFM fics were written back in like, 1994 and I never put them online. Β They were just written in spiral notebooks while I was at school, and I think maybe one fic was typed up partially on ye old MS-DOS Packard Bell computer we had at the time XD Β A couple of years ago I took my really old OC characters that I originally made up way back then and decided to redesign and kind of re-imagine them. Β Like, my old character Delta became enGage, and etc. etc. Β Carver and his story is one I have only recently developed in the last few years.

Actually, looking back on it, I dunno if that's hilarious or weird.
I think I'd like to read some of the stuff you've written. It's been a long time since I saw anything BMFM related, but it would still be a fun read.
That reminds me, you ever finish Blessed are the Bleeders? I always was curious to see how that was gonna go.
