Description
This is an oil painting on multimedia board 14x22.The landscape was taken from a photo I took in Californina a few years ago. I moved the rocks closer together, shifted the angles some, eradicated a bunch of trees in the background, and oh, yeah! added the wildlife!
I feel 'satisfied' with this. It is finished, and I can't think of anything I should change, yet it doesn't grab me the way I would like it too???
Oh, well-for your viewing pleasure(?) and converstional piece I submit....Skydancers.

those would be a good idea...except they were dancing a mating dance, so probably no little one below....as to updating that color, I'll look at it and see how time goes....really swamped right now....

Hmm, those rocks were from some photos I had of northern California. Glad they worked out. I loved it there, on my two visits. If I could live there someday............

I really like it. The only part that seems a bit odd is the angles on the green one... the torso/body part is a bit streight for how bent the neck and tail are. But thats just a little oddity that stuck out to me. Otherwise I love it.

It gives a feeling of a remote place like Stonehenge was then. Absolutely beauty in this land. The rocks...the greenery

It's so natural and realistic. It makes me feel like I could just wander into the painting and not feel one bit surprised that there are dragons flying around because it just looks so right. Like it's supposed to BE. The scenery is very pretty!

Thank you. That has always been one of my goals in fantasy; to make it look like it could be real, in a real place. It's hard to explain, but some fantasy and science fiction art is really, really nicely drawn or painted, but for some reason it doesn't look like it could really happen....and I want mine to look like you could walk around the corner or down the road....... like your life could really have a real piece of magic in it.
