A not-so-secret-Santa for . I went with Beauty and the Beast from her list of favorite Disney movies. I tried to incorporate a few other things from the rest of the questionnaire. Like reading books and the color red (well, sort of red). I really hope you like this piece Cynthia and that it brightens up your Christmas a little bit. Merry Christmas!

This is a wonderful masterpiece. It represents the original beauty and the beast. The colors and setting is gorgeous. Their expressions keep true to both personalities. Also, you can tell they are comfortable being close to each other which means their relationship is blooming.

One of my favorite classic disney moviesΒ Since Belle was SO into booksΒ I can imagine that she would enjoy the libraryΒ from that movie "The Pagemaster"Β cause that librarian REALLY knew books and he would've hooked her up with a SPECIAL fantasy or adventure book for SURE!Β

Same here. It's one of my top five animated Disney films.
I've never heard of "The Pagemaster" before, but it sounds really interesting.

this was indeed a great movie, the relationship with those two is just sweet and beautiful, this was a lot better than the other Beauty and the Beast movie's that came out from Golden Films

Wow, how absolutely perfect! This looks like something from an official Disney artbookβit captures everything about the movie in beautiful, exact detail. Your coloring is so dramatic, yet the shading is gorgeously smooth. There's a lot of little texture details in the background which really bring life to the overall piece, and I especially like the marble of the display stand. But I have to say, my eyes go right to that lovely, relaxing nighttime sky.Β

Haha me too. Dreamworks makes great stuff also, but it's more hit and miss. They just can't make the same magic Disney can.
Backgrounds are something I notice as well. Watching Bambi was a real treat because of that. I know how you feel. Background are not my strong point either. I have tons to learn about making them, but it's a fun experience.

Aaaw geez, I'm so glad you like it. Haha And I would accept that hug. "Beauty and the Beast" is my favorite too, and I really wanted to brighten up Christmas a bit for someone else, so I really tried to give it my best shot.
It only took a little bit longer than I was expecting to make, and it was, in all honesty, completely worth it, all the way.
