Description After days and days of sewing and gluing and cursing because I poked myself with the needle, hes finally done!

Hes just as shaggy and fluffy as I wanted which is good. Ran into some problems at first and had to start over. I ended up sewing what I could then glueing the rest.

I was originally inspired by ~Yamidragon to make a plush like dragon sculpture. It was gonna be reeaal simple at first, just some soft fabric over a fluff body then it turned into this whole rabbit fur doll thing.

The wire I used is too ridged for me to move him much so next time I'll remember to use the brass wire.

Anyway~ Yeah I may take some pics of him outside tomorrow its too dark right now.

Wow turned out majestic! Too bad he’s hard to bend, its fun to take them outside and pose them as if they just belonged there. What color will your next one be? Long stuffed animal fur is easer to stitch and is much more friendly towards mistakes the way the fabric is.

Yeah It's kinda sad he doesn't bend we'll but with the few sewing mistakes I think its best lol. The next one I want to make white and light blue. Oh and did you put him in BestSculptures? I just got the message and of course I said yes! I feel so honored.

lol no worries, It should get better as you go I cant wait to go to another Redezvous festival here in Iowa. I will look for pheasant wings and pelts I could use for making some puppets.

Aw man I wish we had one of those here I have to get all my pelts and such from ebay and what not. I really want a new coyote pelt to try and make into a plush taxidermy but I want to practice on like a squirrel or something first. x3

That would be cool. I dont have the experience to use the feet or heads, but I would use the main pelt and have it like fox size. Perhaps sculpt a fox out of the clay. Squirrel would be much better for starting. Or a rabbit like you used. I am not sure they have squirrel though. Could try something with a turtle shell too >.> or skulls.

Indeed. Ya know I was actually thinking about making a poseable doll like Vernan and somehow affixing it inside a turtle shell. I just so happen to have two really nice ones on hand I've been wondering what to do with. Only problem is I have no idea how to go about making it stay in the shell without a whole bunch of glue and prayer. x3

No idea :S Wish I could help. But wait! What about drilling tiny holes along the shell so you can thread a needle through to attach the fabric? That may work.
