He's a big boy! It's been a while since I made a western style dragon, and I've grown quite fond of copper thanks to some recent commissions, it was fun to work in a color scheme I normally wouldn't. I hope you guys like him!Available: [link]

There are different artists that do it different ways, I personally like sculpting right on the wire, so i make a wire armature with loops at the feet and head and then weave tin foil through the loops before hard packing them down into the desired shape, then I add a bakable clay (I LOVE sculpey) and sculpt out the head and feet and bake the whole thing. I seal the areas and holes between the clay and wire with water expanding gorilla glue just for further insurance everything stays together and then paint and clear coat the sculpted parts. Next I wrap stuffing or quilt batting (like stuffing but comes in nice organized layers) and wrap that down with yarn. THEN I design and sew on a faux fur pelt, finishing off with some fabric glue to seal down the edges and a nice trim to the fur depending on the creature. Enjoy!
