Description Design based on Elder Scrolls Series, the empire Legion.
I did this series for fun and to explore concept presentation methods, trying to detail the functions of each part of the warrior gear. I was inspired by Osprey books series, with all that historical art, very detailed and understandable.
The base drawing was made over a 3d model of Poser, painted and iked to look like comic book art. I made all the armour and clothes in Photoshop layers, and then, exported in PNG to make the final assemble.
This one shows off many layers of the uniform of the legion.
I picked up the legion design as a start point and then, expanded it with lots os imagination. Actually I'm using the legion from oblivion and other graphic and conceptual ideas from the game to blend with the Megalan Legions from GURPS Banestorm background history, to run a tabletop RPG campaign illustrated with images from oblivion and other games.
I tryed to stay with the plot and follow the designs gidelines of oblivion without sacrifying realism, creativeness and fantasy. So, in truth these are designs for the Yrth's Megalan Legions, that looks like Oblivion's Empire Legions.

This series of images has such a clean and attractive style that I can't stop myself from saying you should do more. I hope you do, it's win.

So the one at the top has a chainmail tunic, (probably for officers) the one in the middle is a regular cloth tunic and the third one is a wintertime version for cold environments.
Very well detailed and the subtle differences are great the way that they blend into the armour so well, that it does not compromise the overall uniform of the Legion. All in all: this is pretty fantastic armour you made here.

You're right brother! Only about the chainmaille one, I think it's more for chock troopers, officers do use light armour for comfort. I'm so glad you like it, thank you for the feedback.
Cheers

Well you really should expand it my friend. For example; armor sets like 'Blades' and 'steel' are one of the best designed outfits in the game if you want, you should check them too.

I tottaly agree with you, I like the steel design pretty much, It's heavily based on italian armour, wich I like much.
The orc armor is a favorite too.
In fact I think almost all the armour designs in oblivion are very well done and creative, when I say I'm planning to expand the theme, I have in mind to expand the legion theme, and take history as a starting point, creating signifiers, chivalry, mages, support troops, champions and so one, but sticking to the legion theme, with a more realistic approach.
thank you for the comment my friend.
