This story is so precious. I really like the concept.
I have a quick question though.
If you dont mind me asking, Why does Antonio where a mask all the time?
Is he scarred or does he just find them 'terribly comfortable and think that everyone will be wearing them in the future?'
Sorry I had to do a reference to The Princess Bride. Couldn't resist.

Thanks and the reason why i have him wearing the mask for most of the story is because he is shy and afraid that others won't like him. Also I thought because he works at a mask shop, maybe the mask was a gift from his grandfather.
Don't be sorry I like your princess bride reference

Heehee! Okay. I know I walk around my house wearing a mask. My parents look at me like I'm a freak. I just tell them that Phantom of the Opera has influenced me in ways they wouldn't understand. And because they're comfy. I feel all mysterious.

The Phantom of the Opera has influenced me as well, you can probably see it in my work. I am starting a collection of mask. I like to decorate them around my room. Its funny when i look at my work compared to the rest of the rooms in my house. mine seems to be more colorful. thats probably because the artist in me needs to be expressive and create. and i don't really care what others think of me anymore. I like being different. Sometimes i feel like I share some common things like The Phantom (Erik). that we are both different, love our art (with him its music, me with illustration), music brings inspiration and fills my head with images, and probably other things that i don't want to bore you with.
i think i will still draw people in mask, it is so much fun to draw. so much ideas can be drawn from the design and detail of masks. and people in mask like The Phantom bring out the mystery in people, makes it hard to resist seeing them up close.

I'm really glad to hear that! I would LOVE to see this published and I would definitely buy it! This is exactly the kind of illustrations I loved to see in my books as a child and what I still like to see! So I'm really glad to hear your goal to be a story writer and illustrator and I hope you pursue it, and never give up on it! You're welcome and I really mean it!

That is really nice of you to say. Thank you so much. it is comments and reaction from people that makes me more motivated and inspired to continue doing what i love. I don't care about money. as long as my work makes people happy, that is all the reward for me and worth more than money.
when i do get this book published, i will be sure to let you and others on DA know so if you r interested, you can have a copy. and i will sign the book
