Just some quick semi-chibi drawings to try to get me more into Django's story. I'm going to try writing and posting it here... we'll see how that goes. It'll be really light writing, meant more to get a story out than as some great piece of literature. Think trashy novel stuff, lol. Anyways... here's a bit about some of the main characters. I'd love to hear people's thoughts, including which girl Django should possibly be involved with!Human Django
-guestimated age of 26 (subject to change, lol)
-only 5' 1" (not even but he pads it) and really grumpy about it
-buff and compactly built except for long fingers and toes
-named after French gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt
-adopted after found wandering the beach naked and hurt (guestimated age of 2 years old)
-works as a life guard and at a crappy retail job (think Wings)
-plays guitar in a band, has a beautiful voice but it will randomly crack so he doesn't sing
-doesn't know he's not human
Mer Django
-thinks he's turned because he has the soul of an ocean creature, from folk lore (not true)
-shark eyes, teeth, gills, and skin
-fused toes and last three fingers (so he can still manipulate objects)
-pissed he can't play the guitar in this form
-ball jointed knees for a large range of motion, but can't walk in this form
-multi-toned voice, but he can't control it yet
Alenka
-Django's adopted sister
-27 years old, 5' 6", slightly curvy build
-very smart, ambitious, and hard working
-works as a waitress while going to nursing school
-longs to break out of the poor and old fashioned way of life her family has
-cares deeply at her family but will openly voice her opposition to their superstitions
Maisy
-not a real mermaid
-24 years old, 5' 7", thin and delicate
-works at a circus where she swims around in a tank and talks to guests
-can hold her breath for around 5 minutes
-has always been obsessed with mermaids and has tattoos of gills and scales
-in character she acts like a princess, confident and aloof
-out of character she is actually very shy and insecure

It's okay Django. I'm not even 5'1". I'm 5'1/2". I can't even say I'm 5'1" because my mom is 5'1" and she's slightly taller. So, yeah. . .

This is actually quite interesting. Either girl sounds a fine pick for romance, although of course the "sister" would be more of a touchy subject.

Thanks! Yeah, I may end up leaning that way though, just because it's more touchy so more conflict. Also, not sure how long he'll end up staying at the circus where Maisy is, so unless I come up with some way to get her back into the story, she may only be in there for one arc.
