My half of The Great YamiHonenukiTenshi - Artoveli Procrastination Poject of 2007!She asked for another piece involving Erik (the Phantom of the Opera) and Jareth (the Goblin King from 'Labyrinth' ). This is the result
As a side note, this is not the Christine I usually draw. *My* Chris is not a ditz. And I don't really think that Book!Christine is either, but... well, somebody had to say it.

It's weird how these two became inextricably linked in fandom. I was there when it happened, several years ago, and now it's just an accepted thing! I think it's mostly due to these two webcomics: "Rommates" asherhyder.deviantart.com/gall… and its spin-off "Girls Next Door" pika-la-cynique.deviantart.com… (I've linked you to the first pages of each comic, but they've both been going for years now so there's quite a lot to read through if you want).

I'll have to try Roommates, from my first impression it looks great. Thank you for recommending it.
I adore Girls Next Door, the art is wonderful and the story gripping, but not too heavy. Actually, it was this comic that introduced me to the wonderful world of Labyrinth and of course the goblin king himself.
I agree that these characters work brilliant together: both are kind of arrogant in their own right. They share similar traits, though have very different tastes (I am thinking music, clothing, behaviour). I suppose that's the humour in them being roommates or close friends, they are each other's opposite.
However, I can still see a war going on if say Erik found himself in the Labyrinth or Jareth in the Opera Populaire. It would be like fighting over territory, both trying to outwit the other.
Though I think Jareth May have the upper hand with magic up his sleeve. Erik is more insane though, so he can be unpredictable.
As I said, they do seem likely to antagonize each other.

Roommates was actually the original comic, the one that inspired Girls Next Door. It's cool to see how far each of the comics has come since then! It's been years.

I love it! hehe...Jareth sums up what I've thought for awhile. I like Christine, and I've never actually believed she truly thought he was an angel, but if she did...well...yeah. And Erik looks so young here?

haha. we actually have a glittery mullet wig very similar to Jareth's color here at home (have had it since i was very little, i was born in, funnily enough, 1996) and im beginning to suspect it might be a Jareth wig.
