Description A long time ago Erik took a whirlwind trip to New York with his bookmates. While there they did many things, such as see The Lion King on Broadway. Erik was instantly and permanently enamored with that show, and demonstrated his enthusiasm by purchasing a novelty T-shirt from the gift shop.

True story.

He wears it around his lair on days when he doesn't feel like dressing up.

I don't know, I think my Erik is the type who would completely fail to see himself in other characters... He's probably cheering for the good guys the whole way.

Haha, yeah Oh, damn, I got again a tiny comic going on in my head between Christine and Erik, I'll not bother you with it, lol
Especially because he got a totally irrealistic image of himself. He sees himself as a real horrible monster, a gargoyle, and while I think about it... that might partially cause his bad actions. Since if you think you are a monster, and others think you are a moster, then you must truly be one. Then why not also behave like one?...

Erik's got a whole collection of Lion King musical souvenirs now, which he keeps in his bedroom. He's seen the show twice since that first time. He became a little obsessed.

Urgh, I've been meaning to review this for ages!!! I love this picture so much, because I loved the little one pannel comic you made of Erik after he'd gone to see Lion King! (giggles) He looks so serious! - normally your Erik looks pretty cheerful. It's kind of funny; he looks happy when he's in dress clothes and grumy in casual clothes - a bit of a paradox. ^^

Well, maybe the only days when he doesn't feel like dressing up are the days when he wakes up on the wrong side of the bed?

This was brought on by that other picture in my gallery, of Erik raving about seeing The Lion King (I thought it would be funny for them to go to NY and somehow not see "Phantom"). He mentioned buying a shirt in the giftshop, and then everyone wanted me to do a picture of him wearing the shirt.
