Description Mr Wonka, Mr. Of-The-Opera, Mr. Dent.

It's about time they all appeared in a picture together!

By the way, that's my Wonka up there. He seems to be a mix between Book!Wonka and Depp!Wonka.

...Wonka with curly hair.

Can I use that in my stories? Because I'm trying to come up with my own design of the character, you know. I mean, my version of Wonka is mostly Burton film-based but there are still many differences, and I wanted to show that.

Dark curly hair, violet eyes, British accent.

I think that's closer to the book description anyway, isn't it?

Vagabond-Scribbler In reply to Artoveli [2019-03-06 06:01:43 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. He had dark hair in the book, and a small goatee. I draw him as clean-shaven but I like to think his natural hair colour is black.

Sorry for not being online as much for the past few months, by the way. I found a job as a waitress and I've been focusing on saving money.

Oh no problem! Of course real life should come before internet stuff.

"Mr. Wight" would be a more succinct name for Eric.

Still, "Wight" would be a good, classical sounding name for him, harkening back to his "Living Dead Boy" days.

Wait, who's the third guy on the right? I never heard of him before.

That's Arthur Dent, from Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!" It's a fantastic book series (and radio show, and TV miniseries from the 80s), aaaand a pretty terrible movie that you can just pretend never happened.

Had to. When I find an artist I like, I have to stalk their gallery all the way to the end. Tag, you're it. (Not actually playing e-tag)

Artoveli In reply to roolsilver [2009-10-29 16:52:22 +0000 UTC]

I've done that with a few of the artists I watch too ( and being a couple). If you're going all the way back you've got your work cut out for you!

Poor Erik looks misplaced, next to Wonka that is. I've seen some funny stuff with those two.

Yeah. Pairing Erik with almost anybody is a recipe for greatness, and Wonka is always a good idea anyway

Ha ha...nightmares from Roald Dahl.

*suddenly shuts up as she remembers she can't read Frank Peretti at night without finishing the book for fear of nightmares*

Dude, when I was a young'un I never read any Roald Dahl because the movies based on His books scared me all to flinders. I've now seen the light

dragonslayer126 [2006-05-30 00:39:13 +0000 UTC]

That is amazing. That is really amazing. That is so amazingly amazing that I think I'd like to steal it.

But instead, I'll sit here and drool.

Arthur's expression made me giggle very strangely. He looks so...blonde! And yet, it absolutely looks like Arthur. I love the way you draw Erik. Willy's mouth looks strange to me...I can't tell if it's open or not. I think I might draw Willy and Ford having a worst-dressed sentient being contest.

And now you can shoot me, because I probably just misquoted Zaphod and amn't going downstairs to get the book and check.

Wow, glad to bring you so much enjoyment in such a little picture!

And your quote is right, or at least is how I remember it too, and I'm not going for the book to check either.

MegaSkunjii [2006-05-24 15:37:16 +0000 UTC]

The Arthur Dent is perfect. I can imagine that's the expression on his face most of the time throughout the book. Although from what I can tell in the book, he doesn't get to hold a cup of tea too often...

Yeah! For some reason Charlie's three non-Joe grandparents are as bad as the four non-Charlie kids from the first book! What's up with that? I prefer the first book, though Wonka is certainly just as good in it as He was in the first
