art tends to help. I have a piece or two I have drawn and it hurts to look at them because I remember my situtaion at the time, glad to be where I am now!

Your work to me seems so personally contained and often intense, i find it perplexing.

This is my favourate of all your work, its caught my eye many times, for the way you have expressed light and dark within the hues. The expression seems very raw, with an air of concern, yet an acute perspective on reality.

I find your use of newspaper over board interesting also and especially the yellow ochre, red and pale blue. My eye also keeps being drawn to the darker blue down and across the right side and bottom corner for some reason.

Thank you very much for your insightful words. One thing I really like about painting on newspaper is I can crop it anyway I want when I'm done. If I like how it turns out then I can mount it on a board.

I think the use of newspapers words draw the viewer into the work as well.
