I wanted to make some photos for the Jade Eyes Challenge held by CHAllenge-CLOSED-ALL THE ENTRIES!

I never expected so many marvelous entries, this warms my heart so much! Winners will be declared soon, in the meanwhile a HUGE, enormous hug to all the participants for their gorgeous artworks and kindness!
EDIT5:about the deadlinesince I was asked by several people, even if Β it's midnight here, you can have some extra hours. I will wait fr those people to submit their entries, but if this will take more than 24h I am really sorry but you have to be considered out of time. If you're working on your entry too, please let me know, I will wait. If everyone finishes before tomorrow's midnight, the contest close once the last picture is submitted.
EDIT4:about the deadlineI was asked to add an extension, so I did a poll. But I had some surprise-holidays I hadn't planned at the moment I applied for the contest so I was too late for the contest. Yet, I really wanted to make those photos so I took them after and here are some of them that I'll probably edit later on Photoshop as originally planned (I wanted to mix pictures and make some kind of a dream scene).

First off, if that kimono ever needs a new home, i have a special spot in my cupbourd for it XD

Second Nicely shot, wonderful co-ordination, Only one suggestion, try to position the model slightly of center of the shot, it flows better usually ^^

Thanks for the piece of advice ! I'm not a photographer and thoses photos weren't destined to be put like that on the internet, I couldn't really put Elyra on the center most of the time because of the room (there're some shots with the lamp on it next to her face, others with all those elements of the room I tried to avoid -table, plugs, paintings-). The series with that kimono contains photos where i'm supposed to remove the background and just extract the model, then put it in another picture. I hope I'll find the time and energy to do it in the future ^^

Your welcome, hmm i can see how that would be problematic. I had to do that once, with the backdrop. Never again, XD i have no skill with that kind of photo manipulation XD Best of luck to you ^^ It's to bad you couldn't have moved things, still well done with what you had ^^

The original idea of the projet was: the model is drinking tea (photo with a scenery: :thumb359316717: :thumb359314821, it's a very formal thing, she's elegant and strict. But the smell of the tea makes her mind escape and travel to another universe, it's a "dream" sequence where everything is a bit wild, magic and beautiful. There, the model explores the place (a forest or a beautiful janapese garden), dresses as a princess. I imagined to insert the "formal" scene in a lager picture - a forest or a garden-, put some smoke to blend the two pictures, and then add in the forest the photos of the model dressed as a "princess", wandering in the garden/forest. The thing is I'm not very good in Photo-editing and I fear the riduculus/kitsch effect of the result ^^

it's a good idea, but it will possibly take a light hand to blend it nicely. Still practice makes perfect and you can keep working on it till it's perfect. Maybe check out some of the photomanip tutorials around.
