Join Africa-comic group!FFFFFF this took me ages. But I had to do it. The world needs more leopard art :Y
I've been studying African trees to give my comic the right environment, and I've been trying hard to draw this kind of tree in particular: the Yellow Fever tree, a kind of acacia, very common in Ngorongoro Crater's Lerai Forest, where Africa lives and where the comic takes place. And guess what, this tree is ACTUALLY yellow! [link] its bark is covered with a powder-like substance that makes it yellow, isn't it lovely?
Africa took me around half an hour to make. The tree, it took FOREVER. I've drawn and coloured all the little leaves one by one, and studied hard to give depth to the picture
What do you think of this way of colouring? 
And what do you think of the overall picture?^^ Please let me know, I'd love to hear feedback on this piece

I'm really happy you like the shading on this picture^^ It's true that I didn't use layers, and it was quite a challenge to get all those tones of green there without them erasing one another
Hehe, you're right about the white background, I should have definitely added something else to cover that white

im not sure if you were going for the realistic view but if you were, the animal would have probably already slid off by now. i like the bluish looking tail, but it doesnt really work with the other colors... i like how you used several shades of green for the eyes and the eyes themselves look amazing! the spots look really uniques and not just like circles with color. i like the pose but i would have made the branch a bit wider or her legs more on the branch. the branch and leaves look good but the spikier branches look like they would hurt her if she wasnt carefull enough. i like how you made it full view up close and the other branches fuzzy. i also like how you outlines everything neatly so the colors didnt run together with the sky. all in all, i like what you did!

Well, despite the cartoonish-looking leopard, for the tree, I wanted to attempt something rather realistic, so thank you a lot for pointing out my mistakes^^
Thank you for pointing out that her pose is off balance, I'll need to be careful with that when drawing the actual comic (I'll represent the leopard sitting in trees very often)

This is stunning! The leaves are the exact opposite of generic - they look like what they are, but at the same time, not overwhelmingly convoluted - you've really captured the essence of the yellow fever tree. And I love how you've done the blue tinges to the shadows.

Mais il y a quelque chose je pense que tu peux faire plus bon: lΒ΄arbre. la transition de couleur des feuilles prΓ¨s et de loin nΒ΄est pas parfait maintenant, je trouve. Je pense que tu devrais impliquer des franges des feuilles de loin avec un marquer aussi, peut-Γͺtre un vert foncΓ©.
