I believe the use of the colors and the technique is awesome. It's my first time seeing a comic book made basically with color pencils and it made me change the way i viewed this technique - childish with drawings that can't show details and shadows.
The story itself it looks nice and interesting and I look forward to see what will be happening in the future. Also the landscapes are perfect.
What I like about the characters is that all of them, even if they are animals, they have their own personalities and traits, with fears and believes and different social order.
I highly recommend this comic book for everyone. (my english isn't my native language so i hope my critique can be understood)

This page looks great, you are really good at making the foggy environment! If you are doing the background, it is best to work only with shades. Making two comics at a time, you may be tempted to use methods that are less time-consuming, like inking the tree silhouettes in the background. I think, while inking is indeed much faster than shading and blending them in, I would definitely go with blending in this case (since it better suits the foggy surroundings you are so good at making). But if you don't want to do that, you can line them with pencil, varying the thickness of the lines (thicker lines for closer trees and less visible lines for the ones which are further away).
In the second panel you could make the silhouettes more visible because they blend in the clouds a bit too much and I noticed them at a second glance (maybe because I view it from a laptop which sometimes doesn't display things well if I look at it from an angle). About the last panel, I am not sure if you wanted to indicate that Africa cannot understand what the grazers are saying? For that, writing the dialogue using a different font would work better, rathen than not writing anything. So, overall, I like this page, you are very good at drawing the expressions. Keep up the good work and don't spare on the background even if it takes more time to shade. It's just worth the time e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

Thank you once again for the critique!

And that's a great idea about leaving the pencil lines for the trees in the distance I haven't thought about that and will definitely try it for the coming pages

And I agree about the silhouettes, up until the end, their saturation/visibility kept bothering me, since they blended in way too much D8

That's right, I wanted to give the impression of Africa being out of range in order to shift the scene/point of view to the gazelles and zebras in next page

Once again thank you!

You're welcome, I am always happy to hear that you find my advice useful! I actually heard this tip regarding silhouettes in a video tutorial on Youtube and I try to keep that in my for my drawings ever since

There were anatomy mistakes on the leopard's anatomy, the zebra's and the gazelle's.

*late reply, sorry*

Actually, I'd be very grateful if you let me know what you think is wrong with the anatomies
I'm always learning, and making tons of mistakes, so I'm very eager to improve whenever I can!

You could actually write a critique yourself and send it to Arven, not replying to me (I cannot see those anatomy mistakes anyway). It would make more sense but you know what you want...

I think Nadira  will hear Africa coming. Anyway, I feel it'll end tragic. Paa probably wouldn't just give up his beautiful horns willingly. And zebras are truly deadly in fight.
