My cat died in Nov while I was at school....when my dad told me I thought he was joking then when I realized he wasn't I couldn't stop crying

And whoa, the same thing happened to me as well, and with my first cat too! It was just a kitten, and all of a sudden, when I came back from school, my mom told me she was dead.
