I'm notorious for wonky paws. It doesn't help that I'm always drawing dog-horse-dragon hybrids (Vayrons) and other fantasy creatures..., but I still want the paw anatomy to be realistic looking. Thank you, and thank you to your patrons!

Very helpful tutorial. I Always struggle with paws. And I definitly sometimes do the "knuckle" and sometimes also the "painful wrist" mistake if I'm not careful xX.
I also tend to draw canine/felines paws roughly the same. amin differnece would be that cats claws are usually rounder without claws, while I do canine paws pointier with claws. But that's it about the differences.
This shows the important differences very nicely and explains why and how they work like this, too!

As my former art teacher used to say: To draw something propperly, you must know first how it works.
For me, feline claws are easier since I have a cat and I see them in action every day. Canine paws are way more difficult for me so I need references all the time! This helps a lot to understand how they work when you add it to the visual references, thank you <3

My dog has knuckles. I'm not doing a 'haha funny', no she does. But it is classified as a deformity. Like dew-claws on a back leg.
Unfortunately, I use my dog as a stock image all the time so most of my canine and canine-esque beings have knuckles.

Yeah, it was weird when I took her to the dog park a realized it. I could probably take a picture whenever I get home.
Also, your stuff is really well made and I am glad you acknowledged the horse-dog leg.
