Nah, not gonna get in trouble, mostly I'm letting the printer do all the work today..just have to keep sending jobs through. I only have a couple of simple projects to draw up today

I work for a small sign company...4 employees including the boss
Today I'm working on a Sesquicentenial banner for a neighbouring town and a couple of easy flyers for one of the beauty salons in town...easy stuff
I was extremely lucky to get this job, being in a small town, there's not a lot of opportunity for a graphic designer. I worked for 3 years at the local newspaper doign ad layouts but left there a year ago (long story) and got this job a month later, and I adore it here, love what I do and love who I work for

oh cool!! so do you do the specialty products ie: cups, pens, etc. in house, or do you out source them? oh i'd love to work for a graphics company. ^^ i wish i knew how to do layouts in indesign and quark

Specialty things is about the only thing we outsource...we can do a few things like mousepads in-house. I think we have a cup machine somewhere but I've never used it..lol
I used Pagemaker when I first started at the newspaper and went to InDesign as soon as it was available...I loved InDesign, and it just keeps getting better with each release. I've never used Quark. Here at work we use CorelDraw for just about everything. I seldom open Photoshop or anything else. It's taken some time to get used to working with vectors, never used them before I started working here about a year ago...still so much to learn but I'm getting there, I think
When I'm looking at people's work on here, I wish I could peek over their shoulder while they're working and learn some of their techniques!

The mesh tool scares me..lol I've only used it once Here , but still have no earthly idea what I'm doing..lol I think your style is fantastic and love your work, but yeah it's always good to learn new things

I guess DAZ 3D is pretty popular as well, and I believe the base program is free. I keep meaning to download it and play around but never get around to it :3 I'm fascinated by the Pixar movies etc, would die to know how they do those!
