Greetings form

Hi! I'm going to do this drive by comment here. I didn't mean to, but this one caught my eyes and I couldn't just pass by.

There is something REALLY lovely about the way you draw people. It shows character. He looks like a really likeable guy. Hair, headset, and glasses makes me think that he's smart in not a geeky way, and loves music more than just for entertainment. The colour choices somehow makes me think he's in 1980s. Kind of makes me feel nostalgic.

I'm REALLY torn about the way you colour. It's very rudimentary, and part of me feels it needs a lot of improvement, but the other part of me love it. It's old fashioned and kind of cute. But if that's not what you are going for, I'd try to use softer colours and much smoother transition/blending. It says it's colour pencils but it looks more like crayons right now. Try being more gentle with pressure, and transition much slower.

Anatomy is indeed a bit off. Not that much but mainly that left shoulder and arm. But you know, right now, with your retro colouring style, that bit of anatomical inaccuracy kind of works. I think you have to think about if you are going for realistic or more cartoonish. I think right now, your style reminds me of Archie comics. So if that's what you are going for, I wouldn't worry too much. Of course you should always work to improve so if you have to, you can draw accurate anatomy. But your style doesn't always have to be.

I'm really looking forward where you will be taking your art to. I think you have something really special about your art.

Hello! I totally agree with the coloring haha! I'm very lazy and most of the time I just breeze by it without worrying too much about technique. I do very much look out for the overall color scheme I'm going for but that is about it. everything else is something I don't pay that much attention to except when I really want to. but seeing this comment, I think I really have to pay attention to it because it does end up distracting from the piece.

Thanks for the kind words!

Hi i'm from
Let me say that i absolutely adore this Artowork, it's really nice and relaxing. I don't know but seeing a boy wearing a jacket with such confidence and calm makes me happy and relaxed. I think this might be due to use of light and warm colours like yellow, red and purple. I also like how you drew his epxression, that smile is very nice and well made. I like general proportions of the figure, this makes the composition very pleasant-looking. The choice of making a really minimalistic background is good because it helps to focus on this guy and i find a touch of elegance in that yellow circle. That circle reminds me of a sun but at the same time a halo. Right hand is really well drawn even if i don't understand if it's artists's choice to colour it with dark tones or not, anyhow i find the hand really good. The only things that to me seems off is the left shoulder. This shoulder seems to have a slightly overdeveloped deltoid, while on right shoulder the lines that join deltoid to trapezius is natural and well done, on left shoulder it seems interrupted giving sensation deltoid is overdeveloped. I know tha drawing human poses can be tricky so as resources i can suggest you these links: cdn.tutsplus.com/vector/upload…

I strongly suggest you these video about body construction: www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2fKxN… this one about poses: www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3iOFY… and this about gestures even if i see your gesture is pretty natural and flowing: www.youtube.com/watch?v=74HR59…

I also suggest you to start with rough sketch made of lines of action then add geometrical shapes like circles so you basically build around the lines of action. Remember shoulders are slope down smoothly, they aren't flat and dull but other than that i find this Artowkr really nice, cute and lovely and i can't ignore it from faving it. Keep it up! You will do great poses and subjects
