About Tempo:
Tempo is strong and confident and has been taking care of her little brother Waltz since she was 9. She’s very protective of him and has more than enough skills to keep him safe. She was taught how to fight by the village leader and trained her magical abilities on her own by using old spell books left behind by her parents. She and her brother were the only ones in the village granted magical abilities and they were viewed as strange but were still taken care of by the villagers. The two left the village to find something more but have since lost the path they were following and now resort to thievery. The two don’t steal more than they need but their bad habits still get them into unwanted trouble.

History:
Tempo was born in a small mountain village. Her childhood was average up until her baby brother Waltz was born. The two didn’t get along very well and were always fighting. The parents tried to help the children get along but to no avail. One night Waltz got very ill. Their parents decided to venture from the village to go get the medicine he needed as they had little medical supply in the mountains. Tempo was told to look after her brother while her parents were away. She laid beside him every night hoping he would get better.
Three days went by and her family had yet to return. The village became worried and sent a search team to go looking for them. Unfortunately, when the team arrived at the village below where they were heading, they found out that the village had been ransacked and there were no survivors. When the rescue team returned Tempo was given the bad news. With no medicine and now no parents to help her, things looked grim for Tempo and Waltz.

That night Tempo went to her dads’ study, where he had many books about magic and a special book of healing spells. Her parents had no magical abilities, but Tempo did. She didn’t have much opportunity to use her abilities, but her father was helping her try to harness her magic. Tempo found the small book of healing spells and found a spell that seemed to match the symptoms her brother was having. She was nervous to try but it was her only option to save the last bit of her family. The spell was a success, and this sparked Tempo’s love to learn more about magic.
The relationship between the siblings grew. Like Tempo, Waltz also showed a talent for magic, and thanks to Tempo he was able to learn how to harness it. Tempo stayed in the village and worked as a healer until she turned 17. Tempo grew sick of the simple life and craved more. She wanted an adventure so with Waltz following close behind her, the two set out. Life outside the village was much more difficult than the two expected but they soon learned that stealing was an easy way to get by. They know deep down it's bad, but they never take more than what they need.

Personality:
Tempo can come off as rude and defensive to those who don’t know her. She has a hard time trusting new people and is always suspicious. She does what she wants when she wants and very little can stop her once she’s made up her mind. Tempo thrives off others underestimating her abilities for she’s much fiercer than she appears. If one can get past her defensive exterior, she’s a great ally. Her ability to heal is very handy and her good sense of direction makes her a great navigator. Her brother is always her main concern and she will sacrifice her own safety for his.

Abilities:
Electric heat magic – Green pluses of energy hover around her wrists that can create beams of electricity. When they’re released, they create a rhythmic noise and hit with a strong blast of heat. This in combination with her fighting style makes her a fierce opponent.
Healing magic – Keeps a small spellbook with her with different kinds of healing magic

Like many girls, Tempo does care about her looks and will always look her best.
