yay, i love that film! i need it on dvd, and Labyrinth too... my friend Corine's 21st was a Labyrinth themed masquerade ball... but, as usual, in children's fantasy films i always end up liking the bad guys much more, they're always cooler, especially Jareth and the big black buggy dudes in The Dark Crystal. i think all the puppety films were much better than the newer cgi ones, they seem more real and i love the sense that artists have gone to so much trouble to create those elaborate puppets and sets. claymation is much better than cgi too.

looks nice! colored pencils? i have to see this movie. just like i need to see labyrinth. and a large number of other mandatory movies that i somehow missed when i was growing up.
...and i don't know why i haven't seen them yet either!
