Description This is my region Jurania's water starters. They're based on a plesiosaur, a mosasaur and a liupleurodon.

Pleskul

Plesiosaur Pokemon
Water

"Pleskul lives in large groups to defend themselves and to be able to hunt larger prey. They may look cute, but they have a bad temper."

Mosalet

Mosasaur Pokemon
Water

"Once Pleskul evolves they split into several groups with 3-7 individs. These groups will attack each other even if they came from the same family."

Liupleton

Big Jaw Pokemon
Water Dragon

"When Mosalet evolves the groups split and every Liupleton swims alone. These huge predators will sometimes pair up in groups in order to take down large prey like Wailord."

Pleskul -> Lv 16 -> Mosalet -> Lv 36 -> Liupleton

I saw the plushie someone else made, and had to see the design.

I really, really like this/these guys.

I like a lot of your other designs as well but the plesiosaur just stands out <3

Your fakemon are really cool!
If only Gamefreak came up with a thing where we could make the gen 7 pokedex based on the ideas of the fans. It would be a really cool gen 7 idea, but alas, it's a long shot (if there is going to be a gen 7)

I was thinking something very similar but the evolution stages are little different. The first stage will be similar both the mosasaur's early ancestors and the modern cousins the monitor lizards (such as the Indonesian komodo dragon and the Australian goanna) and probably be at most 2 meters long. The second stage would be more like the earliest Mosasaurs and it would have webbed feet with claws allowing to be better adapted to swim than the first stage. The second stage would measure around 5 meters. Both the first and second stages are amphibious allowing them to battle on both land and the in the water. But the final stage would be more like the large late Cretaceous mosasaurs such as Tylosaurus, will be fully aquatic and is around 20 meters. The final stage would easily prey on other large sea pokemon such as Gayardoes and Tentercrule. When in pods they will even attack Wailords

I went for more familiar dinosaurs and I thought it looked good with a Plesiosaur for a first stage. Thanks for your comment.

O_o A Dragon-type starter? Wouldn't that be a bit much for your game? Or will all your starters become part Dragon-type?
And do you have a scanner? This looks like it was taken by a digital camera no offense

Atari93 In reply to FawkesTheSkarmory [2009-07-10 08:45:55 +0000 UTC]

I don't know about my grass starter, but my fire starter will result in part dragon too. And I don't have a scanner or a digital camera. I have to use my cellphone's camera, and it sucks. I need a scanner!!!!

Thanks, and I wanted to have part dragon starters, cause I love dragons. And I'll have some water/dark in the future.

The bones is just decoration, but it may learn some ghost moves... If I ever make a complete bio, with moves and all, I may give him some ghost moves.
