I swear, she has to be. She's all into how FOXHOUND was in the olden days, so why wouldn't she be crushing on Big Boss/Naked Snake?-artist's rambling ahead; you've been warned-
I've done this to people before at conventions. I must be the congoer from hell because of it, because the instant I see a good-looking guy dressed as one of my favorite characters, I do a run-by glomping that's actually more of a flying tackle; I slam into their upper bodies from behind hard enough to make them stagger, and I actually do curl my hands into fists--this is so I inadvertently do not grab anything that shouldn't be grabbed, like fragile costume bits.
(Yes...because slamming into these poor dudes at Mach 3 wouldn't damage them at all. 0_o)
Then I let go and run off before they realize what's hit them. Since reading some male cosplay blogs, I've realized that while this entertains me greatly, such assaults do not offer them similar delight. Now I ask before I hug, but it's not the same...

Well, if you think about it from a girl's point of view...
1. Symmetrical, evenly spaced features in pleasing mathematical proportions, with large eyes.
2. Muscular and kicks ass.
3. Solitary = needs a partner = I WANT TO DO HIM! I mean it. Yes... It.
4. Boys hear a smoker's rasp. Girls hear a sexy, husky growl.
It's pretty straightforward, if you put yourself in the mindset of a socially awkward female whose only attainable male figures are those rendered in polygons--you begin to assign desirable attributes to ANYTHING.

Hahaha! True. But you know, a couple of male cosplayers pointed out a while ago that doing the same thing to a girl is sexual harrassment and that they'd like to be treated equally. Not too much to ask for, I don't think.

That is call a lie.As long as you don't track em like a lost puppy and invade their personal space all the time, then they like it. Well, the ones I've done it to don't mind. Girls will say it's sexual harrassment if: The guy is ugly, the guy is stalker-ish, or they have a boyfriend or are gay. Or they are PMS'ing...actually, the list goes on and I really don't feel like getting too much into it.

Stalkerguys are never cool, though I'm not sure if they're being creepy on purpose in order to scare people or just honestly have no idea that they're doing it.

It could vary from wanting attention, a real threat, or many others, like the being annoying on purpose one you mentioned. I just hate any kind of over baring behavor. I feel sufficated other wise. SO a lot of guys will seem stalkerish to me. XD
