So, I've been approached by Late Knight Games for an opportunity to design some of the monsters for their game, a tabletop pokemon and D&D love child called Majimonsters. Specifically, for their newest Halloween expansion to the game, the Faces of Fear, which in fact, was just released today! To celebrate this occasion, what better way than to share what I've been working on these past few weeks with you all? Hope you guys like it!

I've worked on five of the monsters for the halloween expansion, each one of them based on a common halloween monster trope, with Grimrot being based around on fungi, specifically, on the Devil's Tooth .
Grimrot is a sentient mass of creeping fungi, who leaves a trail of strange blood-like goo on its wake. It seems to care about nothing other than feeding itself, trying to overtake their victims with brute force in battle.
It's briefing specified for it to be disturbing and alien-like, so I focused on the "bloody" aspect of the Devil's tooth fungus, with red liquid oozing everywhere and strange hand-like roots taking the appearance of veins.
Personally, this is my favorite one out of the five I've made.

I've personally haven't played any of the expansions or the base game, but working with Late Knight Games was really nice, so I hope they suceed on the new Kickstarter.
