Once again, I've been approached by Late Knight Games some months ago for an opportunity to design some of the monsters for their game, a tabletop pokemon and D&D love child called Majimonsters. Specifically, for the new major expansion to the game, Shattered Empire. The expansion and the game were funded on Kickstarter, and is already available to backers, with a standard release to follow pretty soon, or so I've heard. With their blessing, I'll be posting some of the monsters available in the game which were designed by yours truly, hope you guys like them!

"Octopunch has the head of an octopus (plus a mouth), but instead of tentacles he has 6-8 muscular human arms. It's very wary of humans, and is known for its defensive nature, largely just keeping to themselves on the ocean floor. They retaliate when attacked with lots of melee attacks using its arms, and many punch themed attacks. It can become quite docile when tamed though, relaxing and napping around people they trust and playfully making sand sculptures for fun."

This one and Sea Monkyi were actually created by backers from a certain tier in the Kickstarter campaign, and I really hope they are satisfied with the results... No pressure at all, right? I absolutely loved the idea for this one, and was quite a fun one to design. I decided to go for a wrestler or luchador-like vibe, and I'm quite fond of the result! Lots and lots of reference poses were needed to draw those arms thought...Just hope the backer is satisfied with the result as well!

I've personally haven't played any of the expansions or the base game, but working with Late Knight Games was really nice, and I'm still open to working again in the future, so I hope there aren't the last ones you'll see.
